The AFSE wants to contribute to the placement of young economists both in academic and nonacademic positions. At the occasion of its 2016 Annual Meeting in Nancy, the AFSE is happy to propose Job services for its members.

Young Economists who plan to be candidate for Jobs opening during the next academic year (2016-2017) are offered the following services.

  • Register in the AFSE Job Market Database

You can register in the AFSE Job Market Database (AFSE-JMD) for the 2016-2017 academic year. Please visit the AFSE Job market webpage and fill your profile. You can update your profile whenever you want after the first registration. The database is active from the dates of the AFSE Annual Meeting to May next year. Academic and Non Academic Recruiters can consult your profile during this period. Then the database is reset for the next academic year.

This Job Market services will open on April 15, 2016.

  • Tag my Job market paper

Your paper has been selected to be presented at the 2016 AFSE Annual Meeting. You can ask for your paper to be tagged as a Job market paper on the final program. Send an email to afse2016-tagmypaper@univ-lorraine.fr with your LAST NAME in the Subject and the title of your paper in the email.

Do it no later than May 15 2016, if you want the tag to appear in the final program.

  • Submit a poster

You would like to participate in the Poster Session at the 2016 AFSE Annual Meeting organized on Monday Evening. This opportunity is offered in all cases. If you submitted a paper for oral parallel session, you can simultaneously submit a poster. If you do not submit a paper for oral session, you can submit only a poster. In both cases, please, apply for a poster slot by sending a CV, the Poster title and a summary on the web site http://afse2016.sciencesconf.org (tab "Submit"), no later than March 6, 2016.

  • Attend a “Jobs for Economists” Session (in French)

This year, the AFSE Annual Meeting organizes two thematic sessions on specific areas of “Jobs for economists”. In these special jobs sessions, economists from private or public companies, and directors of post-graduate programs and/or research institutions are invited to discuss the evolution of the jobs in their field of expertise and to share their experiences with future job candidates.

* Finance and International Economics, Tuesday, June 28; 2.30 pm-4 pm
